This blog post discusses a bride's experience with wedding dress shopping and wedding planning. She shares that wedding dress shopping was much less stressful than she anticipated, and she found her dress quickly with the help of an attentive stylist. As for wedding planning, she found it easy at first but was stressed by the smaller details. Her vision for the wedding was to have a fun and enjoyable event for all guests. The day of the wedding went smoothly overall, and she advises future brides to make wedding planning fun, communicate their desired schedule with the wedding team, and remember that every wedding is unique.

Jaclyn looked absolutely gorgeous in our Esmerelda gown by Essense of Australia. This is a beautiful fit and flare gown with a stunning layer of glitter tulle for the ultimate sparkle. This dress features beautiful graphic lace, dainty straps, and a dramatic low back with beaded detail. Beautiful beading adds texture and additional sparkle and a long train completes this amazing gown.

How was wedding dress shopping and wedding planning for you? What was your vision?

Wedding dress shopping was much less stressful than I was anticipating! Dearly was the first bridal store I went to and Alex helped me out during my appointment. I told her my desired style and I ended up choosing the first dress I tried on! She made the whole process fun and simple, letting me have time to make decisions.

Wedding planning was easy at the start but I found the smaller details stressed me out the most. Luckily my mom was a HUGE help in planning so we got it done as a team! My vision was to have a wedding where there was plenty of food, drinks, and dancing. I wanted all of our friends and family to enjoy themselves!

How did it go the day-of?

The day went smoothly overall. There were a couple of things I wasn't anticipating, but looking back, they just added to the special day our wedding was! Having all of our friends and family from all different stages of life was one of my favorite parts of the day.

What would be your advice to future brides?

First of all, make planning FUN! Whether it’s sitting down with your mom or friends with some wine and snacks or using wedding planning as a way to have a creative outlet, try and make it something you don’t dread doing! Another tip I would say is to make sure you are clear with the emcee/DJ/wedding planner what your desired schedule for the day is. Give them a sheet of paper with all of the events of the day, that way they are aware of the timelines to keep the day rolling! If something doesn't go exactly how you planned, just take a deep breath and remember that every wedding is unique and it will be perfect in its own way!
