In this blog post, the author shares their personal experience with wedding dress shopping and wedding planning. They describe how the custom-made dress they had ordered was unable to ship due to unfortunate circumstances, but how she was able to find a new dress she loved in a short amount of time. The author also reflects on their wedding day, which they describe as a whirlwind of love, laughter, and hard work. Finally, they offer advice to future brides to prioritize what makes them happy and not to sweat the small stuff on their big day.

Hailey looked absolutely STUNNING in this Calla Blanche gown. This dress is a sheath fit, constructed of crepe material. The rounded plunging neckline features gorgeous crystal beading and crystal buttons are also found on the edges of the long sleeves. An open key-hole back perfectly mirrors the openness of the front, while a long train is the final dramatic addition to this sleek gown.

By our real bride, Hailey:

How was wedding dress shopping and wedding planning for you? What was your vision?

With all honesty, I can say it was a truly unforgettable experience. My dress was being custom-made in Ukraine when all the unfortunate tragedies were going on. Two weeks before my wedding, I got the email saying it would no long be able to ship out.

With an incredibly short timeline to find a new dress and no scheduled appointment, the Cassie, the amazing owner of Dearly Consignment Bridal, went above and beyond for me! You can tell she’s not in the business for just making money, her heart and soul are fully in it!

Wedding planning, to say the least, was incredible, as all the best memories were made due to all the hard work! It was an incredible day.

How did it go the day-of?

Our wedding day went extremely fast and it truly was a day we will never forget. Full of love, laughter, and hard work, our day was wonderful!

What would be your advice to future brides?

It’s your day. As cliché as that sounds, it is really meant when it is said!! Do what makes you happy, and with great friends and family, it will all come together in the end. Wonderful music, good food, a great photographer, and a stunning dress is what you’ll have at the end of the day!
